He wasn't my choice for president, but I'm hopeful that he will get us on the right track. He seems sincere about it. A McCain presidency would have ignored healthcare and the economy and gone straight to war with Iran.

Although I don't agree with Joe's view on a McCain presidency I do think that we're on the right course with our actions. I think that our recent bid-loss for Chicago's Olympic plans will help some politicians wake up and change course on maybe working on the betterment of the US. It's a chance.

i don't think 13th is that bad out of 182. this is not taking the past two years and the economic crisis into account, though, so in two years i bet our place will fall a few more spots.
i agree that the US needs to concentrate more on its own issues. i don't think it will really happen, though.

I'm hopeful that Obama's efforts are in everyone's best interests. I realize that he may have to make compromises, but I'm happy that he looks at all sides of the coin before pidgeon-holing himself into one mindset. So different in the last administration. |
